Ooops….

…..Well I didn’t keep my word, of posting most days, so here is a quick instalment to let you know what is happening in my world.

So recently I have been designing a lot and trying to come up with a whole identity (as mentioned in my previous posts). This is going quite well and I am nearing the end of designing my first series of T-shirts! However there is still a lot to do, as I am not just designing the T-shirts, I have to design all the little bits and bobs that go with it such as tags, freebies and other things that will all be part of the experience of buying a C.M.G. T-Shirt. It feels like it is taking a long time to get anywhere but I think it is slowly coming together now.

Once the tees have been sent for production, I have decided to start working on my website to make it look more vintage and in keeping with the same trend/style as my T-shirts. So, again there will be something else to look forward to. My plan (although it probably wont happen as I intend) is to get everything sorted and released together. That means, new t-shirts, new web site, new online shop and new everything at the same time! Yay!!!

So a lot of work to do! In the meantime though I will try to remember to post more to keep you updated with the going ons of me and my work!

In other news I have nearly got my FM3 form (just waiting to receive it) which means I am officially able to stay and work in Mexico now! Awesome, awesome to the max! ⍟______⍟

Brand Direction….

So after doing a bit more thinking after my previous post I decided I want to start taking my brand in a certain direction. This direction is Vintage/Retro/Art Deco/1950′s Ice Cream stuff. Well It’s not going to be exactly like that, I am going to have a slight modern twist on it but it will hopefully have that feel to it. In my previous post I posted a picture of a sticker, that I will be using, which has a vintage feel. So carrying on with that idea I have designed my tags for my clothing range (below).

After having a nervous breakdown and realising that there is sooooooo much more to starting a T-shirt brand than just designing and printing a few pretty Tees, I got to work and started researching a little more in to vintage adverts, styles, colours etc. which has given me more ideas and direction.

I thought I would have some designs ready soon to put online but after the rethink and realisation of everything I have to do I’m not sure how long it’s going to take me now! I am hoping that before Christmas I will be able to get my first range out and have the online shop ready. Starting a company is hard, the dream is there but you have to stick with it and stay motivated! Anyway below is my new T-shirt tag ↴_______↴

Nope it’s not a bad quality image, it’s just I don’t want you to see what I’m doing yet!! Hehehe…… sorry!

Work, Work, Pause?! (Epic Post)

Hello one and all! As some of you (who visit this page more than once every 6 months) may have noticed, I haven’t been updating my blog very much recently. Also if you haven’t been following me on Facebook or Twitter you wouldn’t have seen any news or updates, and by now you are probably thinking – this guy isn’t doing anything, or has given up on his t-shirt company! Well these ideas or thoughts are not true! I have in fact been working like a little biatch, trying to sort out a lot of things. I have to admit I was probably a little premature putting up the last t-shirt designs when I did, as I didn’t even have an online shop for you to buy from. However I am making steps towards rectifying this and in the process, designing a lot of new tees to tickle your taste buds!

Things have been a little slow the past two weeks, due to illness and other things. But let me bring you up to speed a little. As I mentioned I have been designing new tees which will be printed up soon and WILL be available online. I am not sure how long the whole process will take but I have decided to blog and twitter/facebook a lot more to keep you informed of everything! But for now my plan is to have 6 (maybe 7) new designs printed up and ready for the grand opening of my shop. The old designs have been selling here in Mexico so there aren’t many left. I will however print up another batch (of 10 – 20) IF they are in demand! So don’t worry if you still want one of the old designs email me once the shop is online and I will sort you out.

Another reason why things have been going a little slow, is I am trying to sort my legal status here in Mexico. I need to get an FM3 form so that legally I can work here and sell my tees. I also need this form so that I can register my company legally, so I can get the little ® after my name and also, later, a © on my website.

So in a nut shell, I am working very hard to get everything sorted so that this is a proper company, with more than just two t-shirt designs. I have decided on quite a lot of improvements, one being that I think I’m going to drop the Gustard Kream logo/name and just have CustardMustardGustard T-shirts. I’m kind of just waiting for the right time to strike and launch everything together (new tees, online shop etc.).

Sorry for the long post, give yourself a pat on the back if you managed to read all of it without falling asleep. Please keep coming back, as I will be posting a lot more now (hopefully daily) to update you on my progress and PLEASE keep letting other people know about me, my company and this site – I know its hard as I don’t actually have any t-shirts online to sell yet but they will be coming and they will be limited. Oh yeah I am also hoping to design a proper website as well. This probably wont happen for a while yet but it will be a bit more in keeping with my T-shirt range. Right I’ve finished now. You can leave!
